What are you excited to learn or do in your internship this year?
I am thrilled to learn more about how to access the text of the original autographs of the New Testament this year, so that I can see who God is, His heart, and His ways as clearly as I can in His amazing Word. I am also thrilled at the opportunity to grow as a researcher in Biblical studies, so that I can unearth the truth of God’s Word for His people in the deepest, most nuanced way that I possibly can.
Tori Andrew
Hometown: St. Louis, Missouri
Last book read: Little Bee, by Chris Cleave
Academic Inspiration(s): I have been honored to learn under many excellent and inspiring professors during my time at Dallas Theological Seminary. I am especially indebted to Dr. J. William Johnston, who first introduced me to text criticism and the work of CSNTM, and to Dr. Daniel B. Wallace, who has fostered and furthered my interest in the field. I am also indebted to Dr. Sandra Glahn and Dr. Karen Giesen, who have both demonstrated to me academically and personally that women’s voices can and should be valued in this field.
The Office or Parks and Recreation: I am sure I’m in the minority, but I haven’t watched either of these shows.
What are you excited to learn or do in your internship this year?
I am excited to index manuscripts for the CSNTM website, to do some original research, and to become better equipped to share with others about the validity and reliability of the New Testament.
