Thanksgiving Letter from Dr. Daniel B. Wallace

Dear friends,

This year, we celebrate the season of gratitude amidst a heavy set of circumstances. Our world reels
under the weight of war and financial instability. Thankful sentiments may seem somewhat out of
place these days, but that is exactly where my heart lands.

Even in the midst of troublesome circumstances, the mission of preserving manuscripts and
the sacred text they hold continues forward because of the incredible support system
surrounding us.

This incredible community has kept after the mission: ensuring that 34 manuscripts have been
digitized and 50 more Greek New Testament manuscripts examined for future digitization this year.
Our friends also sent CSNTM teams to Germany to prepare and digitize a collection of manuscripts
at the highly important Institute for New Testament Textual Research (Muenster); to the United
Kingdom to begin a multi-year project in partnership with the Bodleian Library (Oxford University) to
produce fresh metadata and digital images of at least 105 New Testament manuscripts; and to New
Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where we continue to digitize important historic documents
and more than 1,800 microfilmed ancient documents, including New Testament manuscripts. All in
all, the support has provided significant additions to the resources that you and I and many others
draw on to better understand the history and text of the New Testament.

Still, a deeper gratitude rises within me and continues to urge us forward in such a heavy world.
When I look around, I find countless individuals, including you, who have a like-minded passion for
the timeless words we find faithfully preserved in New Testament documents. The words that have
changed lives and inspired hope for centuries link us together and fuel our good work. It is
precisely this hope and your companionship for which I am most grateful.

Thank you for enduring alongside us. Thank you for encouraging me with your ongoing participation.
Thank you for fighting with us to keep the mission alive. And thank you for clinging to the spark of
hope on dark days.

With Gratitude,
Daniel B. Wallace
